FIRST THE BAD NEWS…
THE PROBLEM OF SIN
Every person is a sinner before a Holy God and cannot save themselves.
…for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God
(Romans 3:23)
THE PENALTY OF SIN
Every person is under the sentence of death and will be forever separated from God.
“Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned” — (Romans 5:12)
NOW THE GOOD NEWS…
THE PROVISION FOR SIN
Through the substitutionary atonement or sacrificial death of Jesus Christ – the Lamb of God, God has addressed the sin problem for us.
THE PARDON FROM SIN
God offers a free pardon to all who place faith alone in the Lord Jesus Christ for their salvation.
“But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” – (Romans 5:8)
“…because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.” – (Romans 10:9–10)

PRAY THIS PRAYER
Lord Jesus – I know that I am a sinner, and that I stand guilty before God and deserve the “wages of sin” which is death. I look upon You Lord, and I believe that You died in my place on the cross to pay the debt for and save me from the penalty of sin. I trust in You alone as my Savior, and I humbly receive the forgiveness of sins that You offer and the “free gift” of eternal life in Your name.
